A Day In Wadi Rum - What It Looks Like

Updated: Jun 2, 2020

From the Sahara to Mojave, deserts are some of the greatest places to get amazing landscape photos. The way the sun sort of soaks the sand and contrasts light and angles makes these barren open spaces a lot of fun to shoot. Wadi Rum in Jordan is no exception, it only has the added benefit of Bedouin tribes, wild camels and retro 4x4 vehicles spinning up dust trials as they cruise along the peach sand.

A day trip to Wadi Rum is a must while in Jordan and for good reason. It's a natural adventure playground for adults. There is a lot to see, experience and learn. There is also a ton of opportunities to get some great shots. Here's a few of my favourites from a day exploring Wadi Rum.

It can be a tight squeeze in the trucks. Bring a scarf for the sun and dust.

There's more to do than you'd expect. Sand-boarding, caving, stone bridges and view points.

It all comes together at the end of the day. Get a good vantage point to watch an unforgettable sunset.
